Sharon will come alongside to help you navigate with life struggles including anxiety, emotional difficulties, relationships, self worth or social pressures.

Let’s explore the possibilities of a positive impact in relationships, a healthy response to stress, and finding your value and authentic self!

Find your Golden thread - the true essence of you, to see your value and worth.

Your Golden Thread

Imagine for a moment that within each of us is a golden thread—a true essence that defines who we were created to be.

Life’s challenges, traumas, and complexities can often tangle and obscure this thread, making it harder to see our authentic selves.

But just like a tapestry, even through the knots and chaos, that golden thread is always there, waiting to guide us back to simplicity and wholeness.

Unfolding Change counselling services is about how we can reconnect with that golden thread within, unravel the complexities life throws at us, and rediscover the beauty, value, and strength that have always been a part of us.

It’s a journey of returning to who we truly are, free from the noise and distractions that sometimes cloud our way.

I Believe in You…
You are heard
You are seen
You are understood

Trauma-Informed Therapy

Trauma-informed therapy focuses on the impact of trauma that physically affects the brain and body at the cellular level. Gabor Mate defines, “trauma is not about the event but what happens inside of you because of the event.”  The autonomic nervous system is designed to regulate the fight, flight, freeze response when we feel threatened or overwhelmed to ensure our survival.

Our past trauma triggers body and emotional memories that keep us stuck in the past, which affects our relationships and sense of safety in the present moment. Trauma therapy focuses on understanding the complexities of trauma and its symptoms, how to regulate the autonomic nervous system, identify triggers and destructive coping strategies.

Indigenous Counselling

The ancestry of the First Nations’ people includes a rich culture, meaningful storytelling, connection to the land and nature, and a unique spiritual wisdom.

As a proud First Nation’s Nisga’a woman, I understand the underlying pain of shame, loss of identity and intergenerational trauma that affects my people. The impact of colonization passed down through the generations has severely affected our life spiritually, physically, mentally and emotionally. It’s important to understand blessings, strength and resilience have been passed down through the generations as well.

We are not defined by our past or by what we’ve been told and because of my personal healing journey I believe it’s possible to find healing, hope and wholeness.

Spiritual Counselling

Understands an individual’s unique spiritual journey, some of which includes a Higher power, the universe, Mohammed, Buddha or other. As a Christian bible based faith individual, my holistic approach will include our spirit, soul and body that targets all areas of a person. These are interconnected to one another as we are created in God's image as a three part being. We will be connecting to the core of your whole self with spiritual understanding, while addressing life struggles, individual needs and emotional wounds.

Part of the counseling sessions will include being led by the Holy Spirit, reference to bible verses and prayer to bring Unfolding Change in your life.

Individual Counselling

My therapeutic approach uses education, body-oriented therapies, grounding and nervous system regulation. These techniques support mind and body healing to experience inner sense of safety, to reclaim autonomy and rebuild self-worth.
